Pottage (/pɒˈ-, pəˈ-/), similar to succotash or asaro, is a stew defined by its variety. Rather than having one, specific recipe, pottage is made from whatever combination of vegetables, grains, meats, or seafood the chef had on hand.
POTTAGE is an anthology-style literary magazine dedicated to misfit poems, essays, and short stories that won’t find publication elsewhere. Rather than setting predetermined themes, POTTAGE designs each issue around accepted submissions, finding the patterns between them.
POTTAGE wants raw ingredients, not the best and brightest. While preference will be shown to literary works from emerging authors, any form of art from any artist may be submitted. Throw your scraps in the pot, and let’s see what we can make.
